Una borrachera de año nuevo y unos cuantos proyectos abortados fueron el inicio de esta cosa llamada Bam Bam.
Bam Bam puede ser la banda de rock más simple o el proyecto más complejo dentro de Nene Records, no tan asociados con el sentimiento punk rock garage de la disquera online y más orientados al rock/folk ácido, Bam Bam va desde el pop hasta el punk, desde el blues hasta el kraut y muchas otras influencias que se pueden oler en el underground de Monterrey.
El primero sencillo de Bam Bam “Nunca atacas con la ropa puesta” fue el primer paso para que Nene Records se convirtiera en una net label
Muchas tocadas en el norte de México tan diferentes entre ellas, abriendoles a grupos como Junior Boys, Los Dynamite, XBXRX, y encabezando el festival más bizarro de todo México el “NENE FEST”, solo demuestran la disfuncionalidad de esta banda con toda la escena local.
En Marzo del 08 después de 8 meses de arduo trabajo en el estudio Bam Bam lanza su primera producción y forma parte del carte oficial del festival SXSW en Austin TX para asi tocar por primera vez fuera de los escenarios tercermundistas.

A long term relationship and several aborted projects (Mou just broke up his former band Ruidos en el Techo, Meme and Leo came from the late Ya no lloverá en septiembre) were the beginning of this one year old thing called Bam Bam. This guys could be the most simple rock band or the most complex project in Nene Records. Not so associated with the punk rock garage feeling of the label and more orientated to the acid rock, Bam Bam goes from the pop to the punk, the blues to the kraut and many other influences that you can smell in Monterrey´s underground always mixed with a primitive touch given by Luxor’s frenetic percussion work.
The first online single of Bam Bam “Nunca atacas con la ropa puesta” was the first step of Nene Records to become a recognized net label in Mexico.
Many gigs in the north of Mexico, so different between them, opening shows to groups like Junior Boys, Los Dynamite, XBXRX and headlining the most bizarre festival of Mexican underground the “NENE FEST” only to confirm the dysfunction between this band and the so called “indie” local scene.
In March 08, after 8 months of being locked in the studio they released their first record and went to the SXSW Music Festival to play for the first time outside the third world stages.
